Ugh. I just spent several hours working on my Friday post and when I went to post an excerpt and link to my social media account it got flagged as SPAM. WTH? It was my usual embedded YouTube video with my commentary and reflections, etc. And at the end of the article I posted my linked resources to YouTube where I got the video and to Amazon for the book that was shared in the video and to a website that I used to get additional information that was in my article. How was this SPAM?!

The last time I had an article removed it was because it referred to a certain document from the Heritage Foundation that uses the name of the year it wants to implement what it talks about in the document and a “fact checking” group that is by no means nonpartisan has a bot that flags anyone who refers to the Heritage Foundation document. It’s so frustrating.

Now that I think about it, I think the reason my recent article might have gotten flagged is because the name of the band is also the name of a law enforcement organization and they’re going after anything that looks anti-whatever. Ugh. I hate this shit. I think from now on I’m going to post an image with a caption that is similar to the article title and post the link to the article in the comments. And I’ll also make sure to be careful about using possible red-flag words in either the caption or title. Who knew that just using the name of a band that begins with “P” and represents local law enforcement would get flagged as spam. UGH. The algorithm is just not my friend.
