I skipped this mornings Atheist meetup (at the downtown Capitol One Cafe) in part because I didn’t get to sleep until 4AM and woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat. So I more or less spent the day working on completing the LEGO Avengers’ Tower (76269), which I bought last August.

Last night and today I switched from my normal top-down time-lapse video to side-on because the tower is so tall the tripod holding my camera wasn’t tall enough to look down on the tower. No worries. The last two bags (out of thirty-nine) were mostly mini-figs and “Battle of New York” vehicles, and because I’m not setting up the building to mimic any scenes from the movie, I have a lot of “extra parts” that would normally be used to pose the mini-figs in their assorted battle positions. I’ll need to figure out where and how I want to pose the mini-figs a bit later. I’m still not entirely sure where I’ll place the building in my city. I know I want it on the back row but I’m not sure that I want it in the corner position and what buildings will work best next to it. I’m pretty sure that I want it in the middle of the back row. I have several other buildings that need some renovations, one more to build (the Art Studio), and another that I’m thinking of purchasing, even though I don’t know how the city is going to be laid out… The process continues. Here’s a short video from the build:
