Here (Movie): This Too Shall Pass or Slip Away

Part two of my attempt at avoiding election news… this movie is going to take some time to reflect on… being a bit on the older side of life I’m cognizant of the passage of time and having to adjust to the reality that everything I was hoping to accomplish is slipping away with each passing moment. The movie was based on a graphic novel, I think I’ll track it down… this is a deep journey through time creatively told. I know that the movie got some push-back because some didn’t like the gimmick of the story being told using the camera in a fixed location that doesn’t move at all through thousands of years of time portrayed in the movie. Personally, I liked this way of marking the passage of time in the lives of these five plus generations. It had a way of showing the things that were more “permanent” than other things, but for the most part, nothing is permanent and everything outlives what we might consider important. Enjoy.
