After Tuesday

It’s been an interesting week. Even in deep blue Portland, Oregon, I didn’t believe any polls or talking head regarding the election outcome, even Wednesday morning. I remain cautiously optimistic acknowledging that FELON47 and his enablers see the rule of law as applying to others and at best a “suggestion” to them and sure as hell do not given one piddly shit about precedent or tradition or decency.

It probably didn’t help that I finished a major LEGO project early in the week and the next big LEGO build switched shipping status from pending to backordered. So much for coping via LEGO therapy.

As much as I’d like to return to DEFCON 5 and assume that trusting that the government, on all levels, is doing their best in the best interests of us, citizens, and are not driven by narcissistic glory-seekers with no inner or meaningful self-awareness. Yeah, that would be foolish. We have at least two or three more horror-movie jump scares before we can assume that the big bad has been vanquished and our shared global nightmare is over. Stay alert (but smile at what y’all did on Tuesday!!!). JBB

Here’s a bonus video regarding how the world media is responding to the US midterm election results:
