Failure to Understand, I Didn’t Do It for Me

I posted a link to a StopProject2o25 graphic novel and a Biola-friend responded sarcastically and later added: I know we don’t agree, but I don’t think the next 4 years will be terrible for you. I would encourage you to suspend judgment and see what happens.

My response: “won’t be terrible for you” … that sums it up my friend. I didn’t do any of this for me but for our children and our granddaughters and for the brown people who will face challenges on the streets to their right to live here, for the teenagers and young adults who know that they love differently than others but are now going to be exposed to further bullying and hatred and violence because the person you voted for says it’s okay to punch down and harass those who are different and has shown that you don’t have to take responsibility for anything (if you’re white and rich). That’s why we don’t agree, you failed to understand that I didn’t do it for me.
