That was fun. So well done. So many great moments. I got a discount code from Fandango to see the movie in 3D, which was cool, but not really necessary. I don’t get the blow-back, but I guess haters are gonna hate. If anything the re-introduction of Superman’s bright red trunks (on the outside) was a touch jarring. But that’s so minor. I loved that they didn’t bother with the original story as such but dropped us right into the action with some unknown foe that Superman was losing to. Gunn is a great storyteller. This is a must see in the theaters on the biggest screen possible.

I loved the closing theme song, Fight Like a Girl, and if anyone makes fighting in a long gown with Doc Martins look good it’s Ana DeArmas (sorry, that was a James Bond reference). I kind’a wished that I hadn’t heard about a certain weapon that she uses, because that became a distraction making me continually try to guess when that scene would pop up. Doh. This was another great summer popcorn movie. A lot darker that Superman, but still at it’s core a story about a character fighting to figure out their place in their world. Enjoy.
