Summer follows Spring, and during the Summer of 1987 I repaired myself following a rather confusing Spring by visiting my friends in the North country. I visited with my friends Cindy and Sandi and spent several days with Sandi Albertsen in her little trailer discussing life, relationships, writing and the meaning of tolerance. I have to thank her for the conversations, champaign and bean dip.

driving back down to Southern Oregon, I spent my birthday visiting with Marla and her son in Jacksonville.

Then I finished out the Oregon leg of the trip with Jim Davis and family in Grants Pass, Oregon, during which my high school buddy tried to end my life while we shot the Rogue River rapids. What are buds for?

This trip ended with a stop in San Jose CA to visit another high school friend, Josepha Firpo and enjoy more intellectual/spiritual conversations.

For whatever reason I decided to end my travels by revisiting the Monterrey Aquarium and Cannery Row in Monterrey CA, this being one of the last places I visited with my soon to be ex-wife on my last visit. I know, I’m strange. JBB
