I was looking for something light and beautiful to share today. I know I’ve been deep in the weeds with all kinds of stuff like Biblical Studies, politics, LEGO… and I felt like instead of continuing all of that with this post I’d look from something lyrical and lovely to begin this first weekend of the new year, something musical that required no exposition or context, just listen and enjoy. I’d seen a short clip of this duet but hadn’t taken the time to listen to it… in fact the first version of the clip that I found was from French Fuse where he adds supporting instruments and cleaned up the vocal… but it was only 97 seconds of the clip and I wanted a version that shared the whole song…
This is hardly a light song or subject matter or version of the song… I love this version. Funny that the first complete version of this video was found on TikTok, a platform that may well completely disappear for US users in the next 16-days. Such is the temporary nature of life… I guess there’s a message even in how I’m sharing this video. Please hug those in your life and tell them how much you love them. It’s important.
Also, I couldn’t find a way to share the TikTok version, so the following is an Instagram reel… which should last beyond the next 16-days (but you should still hug those whom you love).
