I’ve known many good hearted believers who are genuine in their community outreach and offering help to the less fortunate. Now that I think about it, they tend to be less up-front about their support of FELON47 or the actions of his administration and the ones who have been most vocal are most definitely of the “Christian Nationalist” vibe. But, if I were still a church-goer, I don’t know if I would be able to tolerate this rabid devotion and belief that this realityTV conman is God’s choice to lead this country when nothing in his public character reflects any of the values that we would expect from any of our local leaders just in terms of lying, self-dealing, and how he treats others (especially women).

During his first term when it was leaked that he asked a cabinet member during an Arlington Cemetery ceremony honoring our fallen soldiers, why do they do it, as in, this five-time draft-dodger couldn’t understand those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. That should have been enough to move away from the idea that any kind of Judeo-Christian God would choose this man as his representative, saying that only he can fix everything… actually, the hot-mic “grab ‘em by the pussy” comment really should have sealed the deal (a comment that he has never apologized for, by the way). I don’t get it. I know that there are a lot of U.S. citizens sleep-walking through life, who expect to always get the best of the best and that the rules don’t apply to them, etc. This disconnect between what we say as far as how we’re supposed to treat each other and how this fellow lives his life and wields the power of the national American government is staggering. I just don’t get it and it totally undermines any validity of the message that you say Christ would want me to hear. All I see is that you’re no better than any other manmade Ponzi scheme out there. I just don’t get it. JBB
