This one popped up in my feed… This one is so well done. Whenever I see in science fiction humans downplaying A.I. as not “real” because “it’s just programming,” I have to laugh because so much of what we humans do is also “programming,” we just don’t call it that because we’re under the illusion that we can change our behavior or actions any time we want just by choosing a different path. But then again, we do have some difficulty seeing “consciousness” or agency in anything not obviously “human” and some humans do not recognize this agency in anyone else except themselves. But given that, even as we sprint full speed into replacing expensive humans with Artificial Agents, or Large Language Models, we don’t know how consciousness or self-awareness or personal agency works. As the A.I. in the video asks, where does the soul exist? I love how this short video explores that question of where the “divine spark” really exists. Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend. JBB
