This one popped up in my feeds and I’m really looking forward to seeing it in theaters. She’s referenced in the last movie that I saw about a war correspondents, Civil War (2024), but I didn’t know her story. In that movie a character talked about how many people were trying to live as though the war wasn’t happening. I get that, we want life to be uncomplicated and simple and as free of conflict as possible. This is clearly the story of someone who had a very different attitude about what to do when things were going badly, when the world seemed to be going mad and following the dictates of a madman. It hasn’t even been 80-years and people are forgetting those hard lessons learned. Or maybe we never really learned them and just lucked out that the evil from those days shot itself in the head. There are too many parallels to ignore. Sometimes the outrageous are the only ones crazy enough to shout, this is wrong and needs to not be ignored. I guess we’ll see…
